Snow and Ice!

Here are the last of our snow pictures from our January snow storm.  We enjoyed several more days of snow.  It started on Sunday and the last snow we got was Thursday evening.  The snow was awesome and we had an amazing week.

Watch out!  Here comes a snowball!

Colby loves to play in the sand.  So when we got out the sand toys for the snow he was very excited.

It was snowing so much that Brayden was turning into a snowman while he was sitting and playing.

The wind blew the snow all the way up to our door.  Curtis had to borrow a snow shovel so we could find our porch and the front steps.

Colby working on our snow castle.

Our last trip sledding at the park.  We broke our 2 person sled and the freezing rain started.  We didn't like that as much as the snow.  It was wet and hurt our faces.  Colby spent most of the time hidng under his sled.  Brayden pulled Colby all the way home in the sled.  It was very cute!

The street is on a slight decline on the way home.  Brayden would get Colby going and then let him sled.  Colby thought it was hilarious that he was beating his big bubba.

The snow was now ready to make a snowman.  We had no coal or carrots, so we worked with what we had.

It gets extremely windy here.  So we built the snowman to look like he was trying to hold onto the sign.

The snow was so peaceful.  It seemed so quiet and still outside.  You can see the mountains in the distance here.  This was during the power outage.

This was the first day of the outage.  It started to rain and the snow started to melt.  There was icicles all over.  I had never seen icicles before.  They were cool to watch.  Everytime I checked on them they got longer and longer. I know, thats what icicles do.  Curtis brought a bowl of them in for the boys to check out.

The freezing rain brought down many trees.  Which is why we had the power outages.  There was a mudslide on our major freeway.  There were broken trees all over, and still are.  It is kind of sad to see.

Here is a picture of a bush covered in ice.  It was really beautiful.
