Our First Home!
Curtis and I are excited to say that we are in the process of purchasing our first home! We are a week into escrow and everything is moving along great. We wanted to share some pictures of our house with all of you. It is 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. It was built in 1958, and as the pictures will show, not much has changed since then. We love the house and it is in a nice neighborhood. We are looking forward to moving day! Any volunteers?
The front of the house is very Christmassy, which is awesome!
I love how the brick continues off the house and it has a matching gate!
The huge oak tree, we think, out front.
The kitchen is a little small but it has a huge dining room. The appliances are from 1958, including a push start electric stove. But all the applicances work so they will do for awhile. But the chickens on the wall will be leaving before we move in.
The next picture is an indoor grill in the dining room. They apparently have been using it as a bag holder, but we will hopefully be cooking steaks in the rain!
The living room has a nice fireplace. I don't like brick much but I feel at home in this living room. I can just picture our stockings hanging on the mantle.
This will be our office, until Brayden moves out of the nursery.
The nursery, Brayden's current room. Right now it is my favorite room of the house, no explanation needed.
Our bedroom, not much to say other than soon it will not be 3 shades of green.
This is the full bathroom, which is big and has a seperate tub and stall shower. Curtis loves the colors in this room and is hesitent to let me change it. Okay, really he said that he doesn't have enough estrogen to use this bathroom.
It has a nice size backyard. Once we clean it up there will be plenty of room. It has a fig and a grapefruit tree. There also seem to be some interesting features hidden under the greenery and we are excited to see what we can find.

Okay...so when you were describing the backyard as having interesting features under the greenery, are you sure you didn't mean creatures instead of features? :)
I love the pink bathroom...I don't understand what Curtis's problem is...I really don't! ;)
All joking aside, I'm very excited for all of you and can't wait to visit you in your new home!
I'm so excited to see the pictures!!! It looks very cute. I can't wait to see it in person.
I'm interested in the interesting features/creatures under the greenery, too.
I'm not sure I have enough estrogen to use that bathroom!
I, personnaly, will not be comfortable sitting in the backyard until there are BIG holes under the greenery. And your "interested" sister will make sure everyone checks it out first. Remember-petting the stingrays-mom first?
Also-what's with the office/Brayden's big boy room. We graciosly accepted Curtis's offer.
it looks like a great place! it may look like a 50's house, but i like it that way! it seems very homey... not like "wazzup homey", but like, "warm and fuzzy homey".
i am quite interested in meeting your gnomes and fairies.
