Food, Food, and the Zoo!

Apple slices make Brayden smile. He could only gnaw on them with his 2 teeth but he enjoyed sucking out the juice.

We tried giving Brayden some homemade tators. He thought they were okay. We were letting him play with them on his tray. He would not eat them off his fingers, but he had no problem licking them off of the tray.

We finally found a food Brayden doesn't like, he will still eat it, he just doesn't like it. It is adult applesauce. He likes baby applesauce and won't eat cereal without applejuice, but this was not good to him. He kept making the silliest faces while he was eating it, but then he would open his mouth for more.

Brayden went to the zoo for the first time. He didn't care about the animals all that much but he loved being outside all afternoon. We went with Sara, Nathan, Annalise, Jodie, and Kyle. We had a picnic and then walked around the zoo. We had a great time!

I finally got a picture of Brayden with his Aunt Sara. He is 6 months old and she lives 2 minutes away and this is my first picture of the 2 of them together.

Our Big Boy!!!

Well Brayden is now 6 months and is almost 19 lbs and 26 inches. He has been busy learning new things. He can now roll both ways, getting tangled up sometimes.

He drinks water from a sippy cup and his own little cups.

He has been trying fruits and veggies, and of course rice cereal. He has loved it all so far. I mean does this look like a child who would pass up food?


Brayden now has 2 teeth, his 2 front lower teeth. He loves to suck and chew on ice to help with the pain, plus it's wet and fun.

He is now driving!!!!! Okay, let's not rush things.

He can sit by himself for short periods of time,

and can stand by himself if he holds onto something. He really wants to crawl and walk, which I think he will do soon.

We have really enjoyed the past 6 months with our big boy!

We're Back!

Okay, so we have been gone for 3 months. It is funny that Curtis was home for most of that time so you think I would have done more postings. Instead I spent all of my extra time with him. We enjoyed being able to spend so much time together as a family. Curtis is now doing drafting for Western Homes. It was sad for all 3 of us for him to go back to work, but he really likes his new job. It has been way to long to play catch up, so I will throw a few of my favorite pictures in from the last few months.

This last picture is my favorite. I just want to nibble on those marshmallow checks!
