Curtis is Home!

It is so nice to have Curtis home.  This is our first weekend together in a month.  Right now Curtis is on the couch.  Colby is sleeping in his lap.  Brayden is sitting right next to him eating a tootsie pop.  They are watching monster truck races and cheering for their favorites.  My three boys are looking relaxed and happy.  It's an awesome sight!  We are all soaking in our Curtis time.

Rattlesnake Lake!

Yesterday the boys and I went to Rattlesnake Lake with our friends, Melissa, Grayden, and Annalie.  We all had an awesome time.  The kids played in the water and the mud.  We had a picnic lunch.  The weather was beautiful and just perfect.  The kids were having so much fun Melissa and I were able to sit and relax for awhile.  And we only live 15 minutes away.  It is so crazy and wonderful.

The water was really shallow where we were at.  It kind of scares me to look at this picture because Colby is so far out.  It was awesome that he could explore and I didn't have to worry.

Before we knew it we had been there for 4 hours.  The kids were soaked and Colby won the contest for muddiest.  Colby almost fell asleep on the way back to the car.

The bears have been getting more adventurous and have come out in the afternoon a few times.  They also made themselves a nice gate in the fence.  I always check the gate from my front window before we go out. We have not seen any bears yet, but some of my neighbors have.  Apparently it is a skinny momma bear and her 2 cubs.  I took these pictures from our front porch.

Grand Opening!

After 3 months of hard work, the Habitat for Humanity Store had it's grand opening today.  It wasn't too busy, but they have had a steady stream of people all day.  The store looks awesome!  Curtis, and all of his help, did a great job.

They had a lot of fun events planned for the kids.  Lots of bubbles, face painting, hula hoops, cake and donuts,  and a coloring contest.  The boys had a blast.  We all had a good time.

I told Brayden earlier this week that he could get his face painted today.  Right away he told me he wanted a Habitat for Humanity logo.  I thought that was so sweet!

This was Colby's first time getting his face painted.  We were there for an hour before he decied to do it.

Bubbles!!!!!

This morning before the boys and I went to the grand opening, we went to a fundraiser breakfast at the fire station.  We had a pancake breakfast in the fire truck garage.  Then we got to explore an ambulance and a fire truck.  We had a lot of fun there too.  The boys got balloons and firemen coloring books.

What an awesome day!
