Happy Mother's Day and Thank you God for Annalise!

I hope all of you mothers had a great Mother's Day. Mine was interesting. Brayden was getting over being sick and being the crankiest he has ever been and I was in the middle of being sick. That part was not good. But I got breakfast in bed. Which included some muffins that I bought and Brayden stomped on during one of his cranky days. They must have some good preservatives because they looked good as new. My in-laws and my mom and step dad came for lunch and we enjoyed a fun and yummy afternoon. Brayden fell asleep in the middle of lunch and we had to wake him 3 1/2 hours later. Then I spent the rest of the day on the couch half asleep. Luckily it was just a cold/flu bug and didn't last long. Curtis and Brayden brought me home this balloon on Mother's Day. I think it is a cool balloon and Brayden has got a lot of fun out of it.
So on one of Brayden's cranky days Annalise came over. For a couple hours I had my normal Brayden back. I was babysitting her for a little bit, but I asked Sara if she could move in for a few days. Brayden loves all of his cousins but there is a special place in his heart for Annalise.
A couple days later we were praying at dinner and Brayden wanted to pray. Curtis was not home so he wanted to pray for daddy, but next on his list was Annalise. I thought that was a great idea. We should definitely thank God for Annalise!

P.S. After all the crankiness Brayden now has 2 of his eye teeth. Wow! I can't wait for the other 2 to finish coming in!

Ivy, Junipers, and Daisies

If you want plants that will never leave and will never let you forget them plant some ivy, junipers, or daisies. We had the junipers cut down. Then we dug up the trunks and we thought most of the roots. Well a couple weeks ago we decided to reseed our lawn and look what we found. They were dead roots, but they were all tangled up and some were over 12 feet long.

The ivy and the daisies we keep killing and ripping out. But they continue to come back again and again. The daisies are growing in the middle of our lawn, which was a weird placed planter before. At least the daisies are pretty!

On a brighter note, we are loving having our yards. We spent several hours in the backyard this morning. We picked the first batch of loquats off of our tree. We have been eating them off the tree in the evenings and they are pretty good. Brayden loves them!

Anyone want some loquats!?!
